Strawberry Point

Strawberry Point is a stunning scenic overlook near Duck Creek Village, Utah, offering panoramic views of the dramatic red rock cliffs, deep canyons, and forested plateaus that define the region. Known for its breathtaking vistas that stretch for miles—on clear days, even as far as Zion National Park—Strawberry Point is a must-visit for nature lovers and photographers seeking a quiet, awe-inspiring escape.

The route to Strawberry Point follows a gravel and rocky forest road that begins shortly after the turnoff to Strawberry Ridge Road. While the road is unpaved and a bit rugged in places, it is generally easily traversed in dry weather by most vehicles, including standard cars, though higher clearance is recommended for added comfort. The drive itself is scenic, passing through dense pine and aspen forests with chances to spot local wildlife such as deer, elk, and wild turkeys.

Once you reach the viewpoint, a short walk leads you to the edge of the overlook, where the views open up to reveal towering hoodoos, sheer cliffs, and the vast expanse of southern Utah’s canyon country. A guardrail is in place, but caution is still advised near the edge.

Ideal for a day trip or sunset stop, Strawberry Point offers a peaceful and less-crowded alternative to the more popular viewpoints in the region. Whether you're driving through the Dixie National Forest or exploring the Cedar Mountain region, the journey to Strawberry Point is well worth the effort for one of the area’s most rewarding views.
