October 2024 5.00This was a great rustic cabin getaway. You know those movies when the spies say they are gonna go hide out in their cabin? This is that place. Was it perfectly clean, No But its a cabin deep in the woods that is completely off grid. I wouldnt expect anything more. It was in a beautiful valley off the main road.Runs strictly on solar power, which wasnt a problem cause the stored solar batteries lasted more then the day. Theres a stove top, French press coffee, wood stove, and gas heaters. Tv with DVD's and VHS and satalite internet. Dont book this if your expecting four seasons resort. This is a Warm Rustic cabin in the woods away from the BS. We had a great time here and will definetly come again. Its a little rough around the edges on some things but overall it added to the rustic feeling. Book it and dont cry about it later saying you saw a bug and a mouse. If you dont like bugs and mice dont go up the mountains!! We didnt see either im just saying.

September 2024 2.00RAT INFESTATION Positive: The cabin was rustic and cozy. The location was really remote and pretty. The hosts were helpful before the stay. Good WiFi. Liked that we had TV. Not a ton of bugs surprisingly. Negative: RATS!! I’m not kidding when I say there were rat droppings over the entire house. The closet upstairs has so much rat poop and smelled like death. I could hear the rats all night and it kept me and my dog awake. I had to stuff towels in the corners of the room to prevent them from coming into the bedroom. I could hear them in the walls and the ceilings. Such a bummer. This place charges a cleaning fee that’s almost as much as the nightly fee and it was disgusting. The rats tore apart a card board box I had in the kitchen too. It’s a pretty big health issues as rats carry so much disease… When I reached out to the host to tell them about this problem, the told me where to find the trash cans….. so not helpful in the rat issue. We ended up leaving early and when I told the host we left early, they said, sounds good, hope you had a nice stay. Not one mention or apology about the rat infested cabin. Could be really cute if I wasn’t scared of a rat biting my face off in the night. So don’t stay here unless you wanna sleep with the rats at night…. Hopefully they can get this problem fixed and keep their customers safe. Also, oven does not work so don’t plan meals that require the oven.

July 2024 3.00Pros and Cons with this location, lots of potential. Pros: 1. Beautiful area with lots of hiking 2. Great weather 3. VHS gave nostalgic feel 4. Pet friendly 5. Wildlife galore Cons: 1. Cleanliness was subpar, especially considering the high cleaning fee 2. Only 3 of 13 windows had screens creating either very warm conditions or excessive bugs 3. Grill had no propane and oven not functional which severely altered food plans. It is not feasible to just go out to eat 4. Downstairs toilet at an angle preventing use without hitting legs into wall or sitting at angle 5. Exposed wiring, plumbing, and nails create a potentially unsafe environment 6. Poor lighting in bathroom makes shower unusable after sundown 7. Wifi is not consistently available and poor speeds

July 2024 4.00Good wi-fi & the owner was very nice and friendly. Didn’t realize there are multiple cabins & a yurt on the property so there were other people in proximity but it was still very peaceful and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. Some of the reviews attached to the listing clearly are not for this remote cabin which is misleading—one review mentions that it is walkable to the village and it is absolutely not.

June 2024 5.00We had a great stay at the cabin! We used it as a base camp for Zion, Bryce and Duck Creek. It was beautiful, quiet and had everything we needed.
This is a place for peace and quiet - other than the chirping of steller’s jays, northern flickers, mountain chickadees, and red tail hawks, and the buzzing of grasshoppers, and the mooing cows, and the wind whispering through the pines. Good to run or mountain bike the main road. Perfect for night sky astronomers.
The host was very responsive and answered any questions I had. Check in was super easy and the cabin was very cozy and clean! Very quiet and lots to see! Definitely going again! Thank you for a pleasant stay, well worth it!
