If all you are looking for is a place to stay while you ski, this place is absolutely checks that box. McKay's is super responsive. I gave most of all the criteria 5 stars. Skiing is expensive, and so is lodging -- and this place is no exception. It's certainly less than some surrounding places, and it's way, way less than staying in posh hotels and nearby resorts -- and boy does it feel like less. While it's most definitely very close to the ski lifts ( a 10 minute walk to Payday ), to call it "Ski-in and ski-out" is not just misleading, it's simply false: you are walking across a parking lot. The listing boasts a kitchen with modern appliances, yet the fridge is from the 70's and all the furniture feels like grandma's estate sale. When closet doors are hanging off the hinges, there are drywall repairs in plain sight, and stains all over the carpets ... you start to wonder if the savings are worth it. Next time I'll probably cough up that 20% extra for a nicer place.
Positives: The location is amazing. Walkable to Park City Resort and Main Street. Hot tub and sauna are great. Parking is included, which is critical when overnight parking in Park City proper. Negatives: The space needs a lot of work. Park City is obviously expensive, and even at a relative value price for the area, I still feel like I overpaid. The listing should not be marketed as having an additional sofa bed. The mechanism does not work well and the bed is not flat once you get the matress extended. Further, the sheets for the second bed were clearly dirty, so the other guest decided to sleep on the floor. Full trash bags left in closets, can light hanging out of the ceiling, closet doors hanging off the rails, burn marks in the carpet, no battery in bedroom thermostat, etc. Long story short, if you simply need a place to crash after snowboarding, it might work for you, but I wouldn't take anyone here that you are trying to impress.
